What is an ARR project?

Arborização, Reflorestação, Revegetação (abreviadamente ARR) refere-se a uma categoria de projectos que visam restaurar a cobertura vegetal a diferentes ecossistemas, criando ao mesmo tempo numerosos benefícios sócio-económicos e ambientais.

For this type of projects are eligible degraded areas where there has been no cut for at least 10 years. On land where new trees have already been planted, these must not have been planted more than 3 years earlier and, in any case, it is always necessary to require a change of intended use. The land must have a minimum area of ​​300 ha, aiming to achieve an optimal area of ​​1000-2000 ha.
