What is an ARR project?

Afforestation, Reforestation, Revegetation (ARR for short) refers to a category of projects that aim to restore plant cover to different ecosystems while creating numerous socio-economic and environmental benefits.

 

For this type of projects are eligible degraded areas where there has been no cut for at least 10 years. On land where new trees have already been planted, these must not have been planted more than 3 years earlier and, in any case, it is always necessary to require a change of intended use. The land must have a minimum area of ​​300 ha, aiming to achieve an optimal area of ​​1000-2000 ha.

The project must have a minimum duration of 20 years.
