Removals

Afforestation, Reforestation and Revegetation (ARR)

Planting trees in grassland or previously deforested and degraded areas to capture CO2 reducing global levels of greenhouse gases and restoring habitats.

Reforestation can be achieved with native species bringing additional biodiversity benefits or non-native fast growing species to maximise the capture of CO2 per hectare.

Mangrove and Wetland Restoration

Marine and other wetland habitats store vast amounts of CO2 in their rich soil acting as precious carbon sinks for our planet.

These habitats have been damaged severely due to commercial use but can be restored though mangrove reforestation and wetland restoration.

Engineered Removals

Projects which use a variety of innovative solutions to capture and permanently store CO2 such as biochar, enhanced weathering and direct air capture.
